SAVANNAH, GA – May 30, 2023 – Asbury Memorial Church has announced the theme for their annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) taking place June 4-9, 2023, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Asbury Memorial Church located at 1008 East Henry Street in Savannah, GA.
During the weeklong program for elementary-aged children, kids will enjoy an energizing, Bible-based good time as they explore what it means to be become a hero. Through exciting opening assembly time, interactive bible lessons, craft station, recreation station, and music station, they will discover that answering God’s call together means striving for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up.
“We are beyond excited for this year’s VBS adventure as it is a wonderful way for children in our community to have fun and gain invaluable knowledge along the way,” said Reverend Billy Hester. “We encourage anyone interested in registering their child or signing up to volunteer themselves to reach out and join in!”
Volunteers are needed for this year’s VBS as well, with a wide range of opportunities including teaching, registration, music, cleanup, assisting, and childcare.
Registration for this year’s VBS starts at $10 per child for the week, with a $20 family maximum. Scholarships are also available for those in need and can be acquired by request.
