CONTROLLED BURNING TO PREPARE FOR THE NEW PORT WENTWORTH RECREATION COMPLEX

PORT WENTWORTH, GA – September 29, 2023 – The City of Port Wentworth has contracted to begin controlled burning of brush materials from Oct. 2 to October 20.  This essential work is required to clear the site of the city’s new recreation complex off Highway 30 and Meinhard Road.  The controlled burning will take place during daylight hours and is expected to be complete by October 20.  If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 912-964-4379.
