GABRIELLE NELSON ELECTED MAYOR PRO TEM FOR CITY OF PORT WENTWORTH

Port Wentworth, GA — Port Wentworth City Councilwoman, Gabrielle Nelson, was appointed as the new Mayor Pro Tem by her colleagues at their monthly council meeting on Thursday, May 16.  

“I am honored to have been elected as Mayor Pro Tem of Port Wentworth. I look forward to continuing to work alongside the mayor, council, and staff to serve every citizen in our great city,” said Councilwoman Nelson. “Together, we have achieved so much over the past two and a half years, and I am excited to see the continued expansion of services for our community. As a collaborative leader, I believe that by working together, we can accomplish even more and build a brighter future for Port Wentworth.”  

Nelson took the oath of office as Port Wentworth’s District 1 Council Member on January 6, 2022. She has already spearheaded projects that will have a positive and lasting effect on the city including the development of the city’s CLIC Center and the proposed development with Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.
